BOONE, Iowa---For the past several years, the Boone Community Theatre has kicked off it's new season with a production performed during Pufferbilly Days. That will not be the case this year. Scott Porter was going to co-direct the production, but says some issues came up with the cast and it was decided to skip the annual production. Porter says instead, work is underway to bring in a blues musical act to perform on the Community Theatre stage during Pufferbilly Days. Porter says plans are still in the works for a fall production and a Christmas production as well.
