BOONE, Iowa---The Boone RAGBRAI Committee continued the distribution of proceeds from this year's RAGBRAI visit to Boone. Earlier this week, over $3,300 was presented to the Boone Police Department of Shop With A Cop. Friday, Non-profits that applied for a portion of the money received their checks. $500 for the Boone County ABWA, $600 for the Boone Pioneer Senior Citizens Center and $300 for the First Baptist Church coffee house project. A fourth check for more than $3,600 was given to the City of Boone Fireworks Fund. Two foundations will also receive money, the Boone Parks Foundation and the Boone County Hospital Foundation.
