BOONE, Iowa---The Boone County Hospital Board of Trustees took time to review a report from the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals this week. The DIA showed up for a surprise inspection on behalf of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid for Critical Access Hospitals. The report did not reveal any apparent deficiencies, but did note a couple of areas for improvement, such as more attention to the security of patient records. Rod Roberts, appointed Director of the DIA by Governor Terry Branstad did participate in the final day of the inspection.
