BOONE, Iowa---The Boone County Conservation Board expects to move ahead with a plan to hire a Naturalist. Previously, the Conservation Board and the Landfill shared the cost of a Naturalist, but that arrangement ended a couple of years ago. The Landfill went ahead and hired their Environmental Education Coordinator and have funded that position. Now the Conservation Board wants to have their own Naturalist to develop and make available to the public. The Conservation Board plans to set up their interview schedule when they meet Monday.
