BOONE, Iowa---The final week in April has turned very busy. The Boone City Council will hold a special meeting Wednesday to take action to refinance bonds originally sold to construct the city water plant in the 1990's. It was almost a year ago the council discussed and approved moving ahead with the refinancing, but the actual work was delayed for a various reasons. The Council still aniticpates some very good savings by refinancing water revenue bonds. Water revenue bonds means the bonds are paid for with income from the sale of water. The expected savings will be in reduced interest payments.
