BOONE, Iowa---The Boone Park Commission has accepted an offer from the former Boone City Engineer to develop a plan to try and restore the city's ice skating pond. Dale Eschlimann met with the Park Commission this week and described a possible solution that might be attempted for less money then a complete dredging of the site. The Park Commission was told the it would cost well over $100,000 to dredge the site and make it usable. Eschlimann told the Commission he tought they could put together a project that would cost substantially less. He offered to provide the plans to the Commission free of charge.
