BOONE, Iowa---2012 has experienced a number of record high temperatures and the prospect could occur over the next couple of days. Getting a record high in March is a lot different than June and July. The best chance of a record may be Wednesday, 102 degrees set in 1934. Slightly cooler temperatures are forecast into the weekend. Health care providers caution the danger with heat is the prolonged exposure. People are also encouraged to check on the elderly, young children and those with health issues.
