BOONE, Iowa---The Iowa State Patrol has identified the two people killed as a result of a two-vehicle accident on US Highway 30 Saturday. 77 year old Dorothy Peter and 80-year old Delbert Peter, both of Boone, were passengers in an SUV driven by 15-year old Daniel Peter of Ames. The patrol says Peter was traveling west on US Highway 30 and was changing lanes in an effort to make a left turn, when it was struck by a west bound Hummer limousine operated by 43-year old John Barker, Junior of Des Moines.
Two occupants of the limousine were flown to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines for treatment of their injuries. They included 28-year old Danielle Snook of Davenport and 24-year old Loyd Hise of Guthrie Center. Snook and Hise were members of a wedding party. Snook had been married in Boone shortly before the accident.
