Supervisors Consider Mental Health Region

BOONE, Iowa---The Boone County Board of Supervisors will give consideration to an agreement that will allow the county to participate in the planning for a Mental Health Region.  The Board was recently updated, at a meeting in Nevada, on the status of discussions that are being held.  While the legislature worked at revamping mental health services in the state, Boone County joined Story County and others and began building their own region.  The recent Story County meeting laid out some of the discussions being held and addressed what will need to be done.  The planning agreement will formalize the work that's being done.
