Supervisors to Participate in Watershed Authority.

BOONE, Iowa---The Boone County Board of Supervisors have approved taking part in a Watershed Authority being developed for the Squaw Creek Watershed.  Boone County is one of four counties involved.  The others are Hamilton, Story and Webster Counties.  The group will also include each counties Soil and Water Conservation District and the cities of Ames, Gilbert, Stanhope and Stratford.  The Watershed Authority is in it's early stages of development and is expected to pursue grant dollars to assist with efforts to improve drainage and flooding.
