Ag Reliant Rezoning Moves Ahead

BOONE, Iowa---The Boone County Board of Supervisors quickly approved the second consideration to rezone property west of Ogden for a proposed Ag Reliant seed corn processing facility.  A third consideration is scheduled for the next regular meeting on Wednesday the 25th.  Supervisor Bill Lusher told Ag Reliant representatives that because of the size of the project, he felt all three hearings should be held, even though it doesn't appear to have any opposition.  But, Lusher has also said using all three considerations will give the county a little more time to move ahead with a request for RISE funding from DOT for paving 1,500 feet of "E" Avenue.  That request may  come up in early August..
