BOONE - At Thursday evening's Boone County Fair Queen Pageant, Carissa Brown of Boone, daughter of David and Annette Brown, was crowned Boone County Fair Queen for 2012. As Fair Queen, Carissa receives $400 and will represent Boone County at the Iowa State Fair Queen contest in August. First runner up is Jaslyn Clark, who receives $150. The second runner up, awarded $100, is Natalie Toms. As third runner up, Hannah Swanson collects $75. And, placing with an Honorable Mention, Sydney Heyer accepts $50. The Boone County Fair Queen Pageant is sponsored by the Boone American Legion & Auxiliary, Eckstein's Jewelry and Boone County Agricultural Association
