BOONE - On Friday afternoon at the Boone County Fair, Ben Ostendorf and Matt Swanson were named Outstanding Ag Youth for Boone County. Both of these young 4-Hers from Madrid were nominated by 4-H officials for their great dedication to the tenets of 4 H: pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service and my health to better living for my club, my community, my country and my world. Tom Ross of Midland Power Cooperative, and Jim Turbes of KWBG, sponsors of the Brownfield Outstanding Ag Youth Award, presented an engraved belt buckle to each young man.
