BOONE, Iowa---The Boone Parks Foundation will be hosting a celebration, Saturday, July 21st at McHose Park from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The "Picnic In The Park" will be one of several events planned for show off the park system that Saturday. Dr. John Murphy, a Park Commission member and representative of the Boone Parks Foundation said on KWBG that several businesses and individuals have tickets available for the event for only $5.00. All proceeds will go to the Boone Parks Foundation for financial support for improvements in the Boone Park system.
