BOONE, Iowa---Boone will be the site of a pilot project for a new Live Healthy Iowa Challenge. The newest challenge is called "The Dog Days of Summer" and will be held in August. Heidi Drees White, Executive Director of the Boone Area Humane Society, says the Humane Society hopes to help by offering dogs to help people exercise. On Tuned In Thursday, Drees White says those that want to exercise shelter dogs will be need to attend a volunteer training event, currently planned for Wednesday, July 18th.
