BOONE, Iowa---Even though there's been quite a bit of activity at the Boone County Fairgrounds, Thursday is actually considered the opening day. This year, special activities are planned. Thursday is Senior Citizens Day. It will include a presentation by the Beckwith Adult Day Services, a Diabetes Prevention Seminar and a Senior Citizens Exercise Class by the YMCA. Friday is Kids Day, Saturday is Family Day and Sunday is Heritage Day. Information on the Boone County Fair is available here.
