BOONE, Iowa---With another round of excessive heat, the Boone Fire Department is continuing their efforts to get fans out to those that need them. New box fans are being distributed to anyone in Boone County that is in need. Priority is given to the elderly, those without air conditioning, low income families or those with children under 8-years of age. For those that may need help, or those that might know of someone needing help, call the Boone Fire Department at 515-432-3446.
