Woman Suffered Heat Trouble On The River

BOONE, Iowa---Boone County Emergency responders were at the Des Moines River, west of Boone Thursday afternoon, after receiving a call about a woman suffering from apparent heat exhaustion.  A call was received at the communication center describing the situation.  Sheriff Ron Fehr's report said a 78-year old woman, tubing the river, was having difficulty.  Responders accessed the river, near the bridge on old highway 30.  The woman was removed and taken to the Boone County Hospital for treatment.  Her identity was not made available.
