Water Main Break

BOONE, Iowa---Xenia Rural Water customers northwest of Boone, northeast of Ogden and north of 192nd Street and south of 130th Street are under a boil advisory following a watermain break early Thursday morning.  The boil advisory means water should be boiled for at least one minute then allowed to cool before drinking, making ice, cooking or brushing teeth.  Water may still be used for showering, laundry, watering pets or livestock.  The Y Camp and Camp Sacajawea had about 500 campers and bottled water had been sent to the camps.  The boil advisory may extend into the weekend.
