Baltimore Pushes Bill to Change Conference Boards

BOONE, Iowa---State Representative Chip Baltimore says a bill to change the make-up and offer some directions for County Assessor Conference Boards is still alive in the Iowa House.  Baltimore sponsored the bill and has drawn criticism from the respective associations for counties, cities, schools and assessors.  He says one of the primary features is to add a segment from the public, not affiliated with a taxing entity.  Baltimore says more work is needed, but he thinks the bill will move out of the house.
