Boone School Patrons Support Staff

BOONE, Iowa---Boone School District patrons made impassioned pleas to keep a third band director, the athletic director and all the school nurses.  Those were some of the possible positions the board has been considering to reduce the district's general fund spending by at least $500,000.  School Board President Jeff Anderson said the Board will still need to make some hard decisions, depending on the outcome of contract negotiations and funding decisions at the state level.  Final staffing decisions will be made over the next several weeks.
