BOONE, Iowa---Dr. Frank Downs officially retires from Boone County Family Medicine this weekend. Downs has practiced medicine in Boone for 35 years, joining Boone Family Practice in 1977 with Drs. Rouse and Anderson. In 1987, Boone Family Practice joined McFarland Clinic and relocated to their existing facility on South Marshall Street. In 2002, the practice joined the Boone County Hospital and became known as Boone County Family Medicine. Dr. Joshua Anderson will be joining Boone County Family Medicine in July to fill the vacancy created by Downs retirement.
