Supervisors Approve Landfill Equipment Purchase

BOONE, Iowa---The Boone County Landfill will be getting a new Excavator and Grapple to use with their new grinder.  Landfill Administrator and Recycling Coordinator Scott Smith says they received some very good bids from companies they have worked with in the past.  The purchase will be a new Komatsu with a grapple at a cost of just under $165,000.  Smith says equipment costs will fit within the lease purchase agreement already set up for grinder purchase.  Smith says the most obvious benefit will be extended live of the Boone County Landfill.
