BOONE, Iowa---This week, on the KWBG Talk To The Expert Program, Boone County Landfill Administrator Scott Smith said he would propose to the Boone County Supervisors a change in the annual spring time free yard waste days at the landfill. The Supervisors did support his request and free yard waste will be accepted beginning Monday. Smith says all the regular rules will apply, covered loads, eligible participants, times of operation and so on. Free yard waste days will run through May 5th. Usually free yard waste is taken April 15th to May 31st. For more information click here.
