Primary Field Partially Set

BOONE, Iowa---The candidates for federal and state office had to submit papers to the Secretary of State's office by last Friday to be on the June Primary Election Ballot.  As expected in the new 4th Congressional District Steve King is seeking the Republican nod and Christie Vilsack the Democratic nod.  For State Senate District 24, which includes Boone, Greene, Hamilton and portions of Webster and Story Counties, Jerry Behn will seek the Republican endorsement and Shelly Stotts the Democratic candidacy.  Candidates in House District 47 are Republican Chip Baltimore and Democrat Donovan Olson and in District 48 Republican Robert Bacon and Democrat Becky Perkovich.  The deadline for local races at the county level is March 28th.
