Park Commission Accepts Paint Bid

BOONE, Iowa---The Boone Park Commission has accepted a bid for painting and caulking the Boone Municipal Swimming Pool this spring.  Pospisil Paint, Incorporated submitted the successful that amount to the basic painting and the first alternate for a total of $53,000.  Parks and Public Works Director John Rouse told the Commission the bid is well within the budgeted amount.  The completion is set for mid-May.  Pool Manager Darcy Newcomb expects the pool to be open by the end of May.
