BOONE, Iowa---April is the month of the Young Child and features such awareness campaigns as Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Boone County Board of Supervisors approved their official proclamation Wednesday and took part in a presentation with kindergartners from Boone Schools, children from Child Care Junction, from Crawford Hall and others. Many will be participating in the Celebrate Families event being planned for the Boone Middle School on Saturday, April 14th.
