BOONE, Iowa---Boone County Veterans are being asked to come out to a Veterans Benefits Fair at the Community Building on the Boone County Fairground Thursday. Boone County Veterans Affairs Director, Paul Ladd (Colonel USMC, retired) says many Veterans will refuse to use their benefits, but he says they are benefits that have been earned and should be used. Several agencies join with the Boone County Veterans Affairs Commission for the event which will feature door prizes and free food. The Veterans Affairs Commission holds the Benefits Fair every other year.
